.Directors

.Brennan Lewis

.About Brennan Lewis

Brennan was fortunate to be born into a very creative environment allowing him to develop into a multifaceted director. He directs both visual and performance-based work. Amongst shooting award-winning TV commercials, he’s also shot travel features for the Fox Network.

After developing his craft in research and working closely with other directors, Brennan’s understanding of concept, craft and narrative has given his work a distinctive style. He is also incredible at whittling wooden statues of Boston terriers.

“Their pointy ears are incredibly difficult to get right.”

.Supa

.About Supa

Supa started his career as an industrial designer and art director. He has directed over 20 award-winning music videos for local and international artists and content for TV series. His passion for music, fashion, design and craft is evident in his work. Obsessed with attention to detail, Supa strives to tell beautiful, honest stories.

“I like the idea of selling a brand whilst still telling a good story, people react immediately to TV commercials, so you’re always reflecting on your own ability and constantly striving to improve your storytelling.” Supa said that.

.About Daniel Zimbler

Zimbler was born into Blackadder, weened on Woody Allen, and raised on soy proteins and a love of stories well-told.

He returned to South Africa in 2015 to direct SABC 3’s comedy series “Those Who Can’t.” Zimbler has worked with world-renowned actors in projects spanning comedy and horror, from Julian Glover (Game of Thrones, Bond, Star Wars) to Broadway legend Elizabeth Ashley. .Matthew Jankes

.About Matthew Jankes

People say Matthew is very serious, but in all seriousness, that’s because he watched films like Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver and The Godfather when he was perhaps a little young. Nightmares aside, they did give him a real love of cinema, bold, emotive and gripping storytelling.

A graduate of the UK’s prestigious National Film and Television School, Matthew wrote and directed the internationally acclaimed SAFTA winning short, Umkhungo, and has directed on SA’s hit drama Intersexions. From intimate performance moments to dynamic set pieces, his work is driven by a passion for story and dynamic characters.

Matthew’s also an accomplished screenwriter represented by one of the UK’s top talent agencies, currently penning an Icelandic set feature for the Nordic Film Fund and RVK Studios, as well as a Sci-Fi for Visitor Studios and Film 4 in the UK.

.Ryan Isted

.About Ryan Isted

Ryan grew up on a small sheep farm on the boarder of Lesotho, not really buying into the idea of two tone Khaki and sheep shit (much to the disappointment of his father and the rest of the valley which were all related) spent most of his time in an converted generator room where he would watch old VHS’s a friend from town had bootlegged for him. Obsessed with Pink Floyd’s The Wall from a young age made for a depressed and introverted teenager who became an observer of people.

Later when he came of age and with little convincing, Ryan was sent off the farm to go and study, fine art and later graphic design where some off his work was published in the Design Indaba 2002 Journal through the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

Some awards were won, including international recognition from Lucille Tenazas’s San Francisco American Institute of Graphic Arts. His Salvation Army PSA got a Leo Burnett 7+, it also won a Vuka “best concept” and his Coke ad won the shots YDA for best animation.
